Anders Carlson on botched field goal that…

The Packers’ kicker talked about his crucial error.

On Saturday night, the Green Bay Packers suffered a sad NFL Playoff loss to the San Francisco 49ers, losing 24-21.

The fact that Packers quarterback Jordan Love was intercepted on first down with two timeouts remaining after attempting a crazy ball across the field will undoubtedly be cited by many supporters, but with 3:45 remaining, the team had an opportunity to increase their advantage to seven points.

Sadly, 49ers quarterback Christian McCaffrey’s touchdown run gave the team the lead instead of tying the score when Packers kicker Anders Carlson botched the kick.

According to Ryan Wood of USA Today, the Packers kicker discussed the miss following the game:

According to Anders Carlson, everything went smoothly during his miss. He was on the correct track. It’s hard to do to these folks, he thought, as he missed the kick and touched the wrong place with his foot. That’s the most painful thing. Though it hurts, they have a bright future ahead of them.

Regarding the Packers quarterback, Love feels that the 2023 campaign was a significant improvement, and he intends to build on it moving ahead.

“Knowing where to go with the ball, getting a better view of the defense, spotting pressures, and similar things.” After the 49ers game, Love stated, “My general understanding of what the defense is trying to do to us.”
