Andre Drummond Makes NBA History with Record-Breaking Rebound Performance

On Thursday, the Chicago Bulls secured their second consecutive victory with the help of Andre Drummond, who delivered another impressive double-double performance. However, Drummond’s impact extended beyond the surface level, as his 13 rebounds surpassed Bill Laimbeer’s total rebounds record in NBA history.

During Thursday’s match against the Memphis Grizzlies, Andre Drummond showcased his prowess by playing 31 minutes and contributing 21 points to the scoreboard. His commendable performance included three offensive rebounds and 10 defensive rebounds, propelling him to the 38th position in NBA history for total rebounds with a tally of 10,407.

With 30 games remaining in the 2023-24 regular season, Chicago Bulls stands a chance to climb further up the ranks, potentially surpassing Dave Cowens with 10,444 rebounds and trailing behind Tyson Chandler with 10,467 rebounds.

Furthermore, Drummond currently ranks third among active NBA players for career rebounds, trailing only DeAndre Jordan (10,470) and LeBron James (11,013), as reported by StatMuse.

Drummond’s upcoming opportunity to narrow the gap with Cowens presents itself on Saturday night when the Bulls take on the Orlando Magic.
