Ederson, an Atlanta player, acknowledges that he is “curious” about the Premier League but says he doesn’t want any outside distractions before Brazil’s Copa America campaign.

Following his January 2023 transfer from Salernitana to Atalanta, Ederson excelled in his first full season in Bergamo, finishing the previous campaign with six goals and an assist in Serie A as a defensive midfielder.

The Brazilian was also crucial to Atalanta’s victory last month in the Europa League, when they ended Bayer Leverkusen’s 51-game winning streak under the guidance of Ademola Lookman.

The 24-year-old Ederson is reportedly attracting attention from Manchester United and Liverpool, as well as serious interest from Barcelona, Atletico Madrid, and Juventus.

In response to reports that they are ready for a potential bidding battle this summer, Atalanta has allegedly placed a price tag of €40 million (£34 million) on Ederson.

Ederson, meanwhile, is still entirely focused on his nation’s upcoming Copa America campaign. He made his senior international debut last weekend in Brazil’s friendly against Mexico.

“It always happens when the market opens that speculation comes with it, not only about my future but also for many players,” Ederson said in response to a question about if leaving Italy was a possibility this summer. He spoke with Spanish newspaper AS.

“Look, now I’m going to the national team, so you have to deal with what comes and what doesn’t come,” I told my wife and my agents when I got the call.

This is my first call-up, so I have to give the national team my all. I will now concentrate on them. I shall then consider my future after that.

Since this is my first call-up, I’m worried about performing well and making a good impression with the Brazilian squad. Ensuring that my reputation is as widespread here as it is in Italy.

“I am trying to make the most of this moment with the national team. I am very happy and focused.”

When asked whether he knew that Bremer was the most expensive Brazilian in Serie A, Ederson said, “I didn’t see that, no.”

I’ve said it before, but I’m not used to keeping up with this transfer world. As my spouse and I frequently remark, rumors are one thing that will never last.

We are content, at ease, and savoring the moment. I have faith in my agents to make any necessary changes.

Having worked with me for more than 13 years, my agent is the first to inform me when he anticipates a favorable outcome, and we keep in touch with that.

We’ve spoken a lot about seizing the opportunity, and I’m doing great at Atalanta right now. This supposition shouldn’t be a distraction, in my opinion.

The most crucial element is that the club must approve any transfer-related issues before anything else. Since we get along well, the conversations will begin as soon as Atalanta approaches me to let me know that they have an offer.

I play for the Atlanta Falcons now and I will always play for Atlanta. I’ll take a little vacation when my time with the national team is up because I need to recover, and then I’ll head back to Italy.

Although Ederson is unclear of which league would fit him best, he finds the Premier League’s brilliant lights to be intriguing.

“I have given it a lot of thought, but I’m not sure,” he said.

I like Italy and feel like I’ve acclimated well, but I’m not sure since I’m wondering about the Premier League.

I have more to prove, so I’m not sure if I’ll stay in Italy because I’m still growing. That also applies if I go somewhere else. I’m going to keep developing.
