Chelsea to wrap up signing of World Cup winner in 6 Days

Given the January transfer window is now fully open, Chelsea as usual is expected to be active this January.

The club’s only transfers this month have been the recall of Andrey Santos from his loan at Nottingham Forest and the loan of Alex Matos to Huddersfield Town.

Though the Blues don’t even have half of that time to complete the transaction if they want to solidify their interest in one World Cup winner, there are still more than three weeks left before things can turn around.

As earlier reported, Paulo Dybala, currently with Roma, has a clause in his contract that allows non-Italian teams to offer on him but gives them until January 15 to finalize the deal.

The Argentinean would be a steal for the Blues, who could benefit greatly from his inventiveness both inside and outside the box, at just €12 million.

Dybala would have little trouble adjusting to life at Stamford Bridge under the guidance of compatriot Albiceleste, Mauricio Pochettino, and Chelsea could use a boost after their most dismal season to date.

Todd Boehly needs to get things going as soon as possible if he hopes to give his team the experience and class that the 30-year-old can offer.
