END OF THE ROAD: Arsenal Sets Eddie Nketiah price

In an attempt to address Arsenal’s offensive shortcomings this season, Mikel Arteta side are keen on bolstering their ranks upfront. Academy product Eddie Nketiah, appears at the moment the sacrificial lamb to pave way for new recruits.

As a result, Arsenal has placed a £50 million price tag on him following their rejection of Crystal Palace’s inquiry. This season, the Gunners have had trouble scoring goals, and Nketiah and Gabriel Jesus have drawn criticism for their efforts.

Mikel Arteta’s charges lost 2-0 against West Ham on Thursday night, dropping to second place in the Premier League standings. What is worrisome is that they set an unwanted League record with 77 touches inside the opponent box without scoring.

Nketiah was unable to have an effect off the bench, and Jesus failed to convert two great chances. Due to these offensive problems, Arsenal has generated rumors over potential signings, including Ivan Toney, Dominic Solanke, and Victor Osimhen.

To comply with Financial Fair Play (FFP) rules, the north Londoners might have to sell fringe players to recruit new.

Arsenal recruited David Raya on a season-long loan rather than a permanent move to avoid FFP infringements.

The Gunners are in dire need of defensive reinforcements with Jurrien Timber, Takehiro Tomiyasu, and Thomas Partey currently out injured.

The Arsenal boss faces a huge dilemma heading into January with his attack ailing – hampering the club’s efforts at a first League title since 2004.

Arsenal turned down Crystal Palace’s request to sign Nketiah in January. As such, the forward will not be available in the January window as things stand.

Whether that position on the 24-year-old’s future shifts is still unknown. However, to sign the Arsenal man away, a club must meet their £50 million valuation of the player.

The England International, ranked lower than Jesus in the center-forward hierarchy, plays a significant amount of minutes on the field.

And because his contract runs till 2027, the North London team is in a strong negotiation position.

However, if they are able to sign a top successor in the same window, their stance may soften.
