Everton’s Portugal Trip and Player Rehabilitation Update

Sean Dyche has provided insight into why Arnaut Danjuma hasn’t accompanied Everton’s squad to their training camp in Portugal. The Toffees opted for the European trip due to a fixture gap until their match against Bournemouth on March 30, with the Merseyside derby postponed due to Liverpool’s FA Cup advancement.

Describing it as a ‘working break,’ Dyche aims for Everton to utilize the opportunity to reverse their recent poor form, having not secured a victory in their last 11 Premier League outings and teetering just four points above the relegation zone.

In an interview with evertontv, Dyche confirmed that Idrissa Gana Gueye is expected to resume training in Portugal following a groin injury that sidelined him for two games. However, Arnaut Danjuma, recovering from ankle ligament damage sustained in January’s match against Fulham, remains absent from the squad.UK Government Sets Sights on Hosting Ryder Cup: Golf Courses Gear Up for Historic Event

Dyche elaborated, stating, “He’s (Gueye) eager to get back on the field here as he’s been eager, and it should happen over the next few days. Arnie has chosen to stay behind for valid reasons. He’s receiving personalized care and is progressing well. He’s fully committed to the additional days of training and specific attention he requires, and his recovery is on track” Negotiating Lautaro Martinez’s Future: Inter’s Contract Talks Heat Up
