Golden State Warriors’ Attempt to Pair LeBron James with Steph Curry Falls Through, Lakers Uninterested in Trade Deal

According to sources from ESPN, the Golden State Warriors made an attempt, albeit unsuccessful, to propose a trade to the Los Angeles Lakers involving LeBron James to pair him up with Steph Curry.

The Warriors intended to pitch a trade deal to the Lakers prior to the trade deadline, but the Lakers organization, as well as LeBron James himself, reportedly weren’t keen on the idea.

Sources revealed that Rich Paul, James’ agent, conveyed to Warriors owner Joe Lacob and GM Mike Dunleavy Jr. that LeBron had no inclination towards a trade and was committed to staying with the Lakers.

Similarly, when Dunleavy approached Lakers GM Rob Pelinka before the trade deadline, he received confirmation that the Lakers had no intentions of parting ways with James, according to sources.
