Latest Transfer- NBA Trade Deadline Recap: Moves, Deals, and Player Movement in the 2023/24 Season

The majority of significant trades during the 2023/24 NBA season occurred before the trade deadline, with notable moves like James Harden to the Clippers, OG Anunoby to the Knicks, and Pascal Siakam to the Pacers.

However, there was still considerable activity leading up to the deadline, with 19 trades involving 22 teams over 30 hours. In total, 44 NBA players were traded along with additional draft prospects, draft picks, and cash.

The Knicks acquired Bojan Bogdanovic and Alec Burks from the Pistons, giving up Evan Fournier, Malachi Flynn, Quentin Grimes, Ryan Arcidiacono, and future draft picks. The Sixers obtained Buddy Hield from the Pacers in exchange for Doug McDermott, Furkan Korkmaz, and draft picks. The Spurs acquired Marcus Morris from the Clippers in a separate deal.

Raptors acquired Kelly Olynyk and Ochai Agbaji, while the Mavericks acquired P.J. Washington and later Daniel Gafford in exchange for various players and draft picks. The Thunder added Gordon Hayward, the Suns acquired Royce O’Neale and David Roddy, and the Timberwolves acquired Monte Morris.

The Nets traded Spencer Dinwiddie to the Raptors for Dennis Schröder and Thaddeus Young. The Bucks acquired Patrick Beverley from the Sixers, while the Celtics added Xavier Tillman and Jaden Springer. The Pistons acquired Simone Fontecchio, and the Warriors acquired Cory Joseph.

Several notable players remained with their teams, including Dejounte Murray, Kyle Kuzma, Miles Bridges, DeMar DeRozan, Alex Caruso, Andre Drummond, Andrew Wiggins, Chris Paul, Bruce Brown, Gary Trent Jr., and D’Angelo Russell.

Several players were waived on deadline day, with others expected to be bought out or waived, including Malcolm Brogdon, Ryan Arcidiacono, James Bouknight, Spencer Dinwiddie, Harry Giles, Joe Harris, Killian Hayes, Danuel House, Cory Joseph, Robin Lopez, Frank Ntilikina, Victor Oladipo, Ish Smith, and Thaddeus Young. Additionally, players like Dorian Finney-Smith, Tyus Jones, Delon Wright, Harrison Barnes, Kevin Huerter, and Davion Mitchell were expected to be bought out or waived by their respective teams.
