Leeds Secures Second Place as Daniel Farke Commends “Almost Perfect Away Performance

After Leeds’ victory over Bristol City, they shot up to second place in the Championship table, much to Daniel Farke’s satisfaction.

After dribbling onto a long ball from Junior Firpo, Wilfried Gnonto scored the game-winning goal at Ashton Gate in the 48th minute with a low left-footed effort from ten yards.

Leeds outperformed their mid-table rivals and ought to have won by a larger margin, but City was kept in the match by a combination of subpar finishing and some excellent saves from Max O’Leary.

While Farke was pleased with his team’s performance overall, he acknowledges that they must play more viciously in front of goal if they hope to return to the Premier League.

“There ought to have been a bigger victory margin,” he declared. It was practically the ideal farewell performance.

“We created a lot of opportunities and were quite dominant, but I have to criticize our inability to seize them.

However, O’Leary produced some excellent saves to deny Georginio Rutter, Patrick Bamford, and the energetic Crysencio Summerville on three separate occasions.

At times, the home team appeared to be lagging behind, and head coach Liam Manning

“Simple things like getting caught in possession went wrong. They do a fantastic job of closing space across the field.

We can do so much better, and that is why I am frustrated. After making mistakes, the players seemed to become more tense.

“Max O’Leary has been outstanding for us this season, and he did a fantastic job once more of keeping us in the contest.

“We had a halftime opportunity to correct things, and the lesson was to start doing the small things correctly. After a few minutes, we give up, and that night was difficult for us.

“We’ve faced the best teams, and Leeds was the best.” They should hold up a promotion challenge, in my opinion.

“Recently, there have been numerous games because of our
