Francis Ngannou left Thierry Henry feeling uneasy after sending him a menacing message prior to his upcoming bout against Anthony Joshua. The former UFC heavyweight champion turned boxer is set to take on Joshua in Saudi Arabia this Friday, marking his second professional boxing match. Ngannou’s debut in the ring last October was nothing short of spectacular, as he managed to knock down Tyson Fury and narrowly lost in a contentious decision.

Speaking with Sky Sports Boxing, Ngannou’s message to Henry was aired before Arsenal’s match against Sheffield United on Monday night. “Hey Titi [Thierry], I hope you are doing well and I hope Anthony Joshua is not your friend because I’m going after him on Friday night. Salut, mon pote [Hello, buddy],” Ngannou conveyed. After Leeds’ goal through Patrick Bamford, the Rotherham manager reveals what the referee said to him at full time.

Presenter David Jones remarked on Ngannou’s message, noting its ominous tone: “That’s a scary laugh by the way.” Henry admitted, “I was scared then. They are asking him a question about what he’s going to do to Joshua and he said ‘He’s going to take his soul.’ Who says that?!
