TEARS AT BRIGHTON AMIDST WIN OVER SPURS

Albion took a 2-0 lead thanks to goals from Jack Hinshelwood and Joao Pedro in the first twenty-five minutes of play. Goals from Pedro and Pervis Estupinan in the second half appeared to put the game out of reach at the Amex on Thursday night.

However, skipper Dunk picked up a suspension in the second half. This is due to the fact that the yellow card is the 32-year-old’s fifth booking of the season during the first 19 games, and it attracts a one-match ban.

Due to injuries, Brighton were  without eight players for the Spurs game; Dunk will now be added to their long list of absences for their trip to the London Stadium in the early months of 2024 for a foul on Dejan Kulusevski that earned a yellow card, and as a result, he will miss the trip to West Ham on January 2.

Spurs threatened an unlikely comeback late on when Alejo Veliz and Ben Davies pulled two goals back but the Seagulls deservedly picked up the three points.
