Mouhamadou Gueye has secured a position with the main roster of the Toronto Raptors. According to reports, the 6-foot-9 forward has inked a two-way contract, although details about a corresponding roster move are yet to be disclosed, as stated by Shams Charania.
Previously, Gueye had a brief stint with the Raptors earlier this season on a 10-day contract before returning to the G League, where he has primarily played with the Raptors 905 throughout the year.
In the G League, the 25-year-old has been posting impressive stats, averaging 14.4 points and 8.3 rebounds while maintaining a shooting percentage of 56% across 34 games this season.
Gueye’s addition to the Raptors’ roster means he will occupy one of the team’s three two-way spots. Currently, these spots are filled by DJ Carton, Jontay Porter, and Markquis Nowell. To accommodate Gueye, the Raptors will need to make a roster adjustment, likely involving one of these players.
As of now, the team has not officially confirmed Gueye’s signing.
